Happy happy day!

We've been running short-staffed for a while. There just never seems to be anyone qualified who applies for the tech positions. Then, like magic, I get multiple resumes of highly qualified applicants. One came in today to accept a job offer, and another came by for a preliminary interview - they BOTH rocked! No stupid person could ruin the excitement I got from knowing I'm going to be back at full staff soon....

It's like they come in spurts. Most of the time there's nothing. I have the worst luck hiring people with the company I'm with now. Before, it was like magic. I had great people. I think we've hit the lucky streak though too.

As someone who will be taking a Pharmacy Tech course soon I am very interested in your criteria for a good prospective Tech.

Bill - graduate from the tech school, get your national certification - those are important. But most of all, make sure that the places you do rotations during school will actually let you do more than just fill. Anyone can count, but learning insurance troubleshooting and good customer service (especially communication skills) really make for a good tech. Be able to multitask, work quickly AND accurately, and you'll be a superstar!
